Carpatho-Rusyn group to have speaker

The Youngstown-Warren Chapter of the Carpatho-Rusyn Society will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kravitz Delicatessen, 3135 Belmont Ave.

Newly elected national president Maryann Sivak will talk about the organization’s status and its future direction. Sivak has been a member of the society since its inception and has served on the board in various positions including recording secretary, vice president and financial administrator. Boardman-Poland JWL tea is March 6

Boardman-Poland Junior Women’s League will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at Glenellen, 9661 Market St., and discuss plans for the upcoming “Farewell To Downton Abbey” tea planned March 6. The date of the tea was incorrect in an announcement published Wednesday.

January hostesses who will be sharing refreshments from their heritage are Tina Bellino, Linda Crish and Nina Lowery.
