Authorities ID woman shot to death in central Ohio

COLUMBUS (AP) — Authorities have identified a central Ohio woman who was initially thought to have been hit by a vehicle but was later determined to have been fatally shot.

Police and the Franklin County Coroner’s office say the 59-year-old woman was found Saturday night near her Columbus home. County coroner Dr. Anahi Ortiz today identified the woman as Judith Fannings-Frum.

There was no identification on the woman when her body was found.

The Columbus Dispatch reports that medics determined that she was shot and not hit by a vehicle, as some initially thought at the time.

Police Sgt. Christ Holzhauser says homicide investigators did not have many leads in the case.
