2 treated for smoke issue after fire at Ohio nursing home
LEIPSIC, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say a fire at a nursing home in northwestern Ohio forced patients to be evacuated in the middle of the night.
Firefighters in the village Leipsic say two people were treated for smoke inhalation, but there were no serious injuries.
The fire started in a room at the Meadows of Leipsic just after midnight today. Authorities say everyone was able to get out safely.
The Lima News reports that a resident and a staff member were treated after being evacuated.
The village fire chief says the cause of the fire appears to be accidental.
