ODOT projects set for I-76, I-80
AUSTINTOWN
The Ohio Department of Transportation has proposed a $3.6 million construction project for Austintown and Milton townships this fall.
The plan is to resurface slightly more than 6 miles of Interstate 76 from the Mahoning County line to the I-76/Bailey Road interchange.
There also will be minor maintenance for 14 bridges along Interstates 76 and 80.
Unless otherwise posted, a minimum of one lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times along I-76 and I-80.
Construction, lane restrictions, roadway closure and detour information will be posted before the start of construction.
Additionally, Northeast River Road will be closed for a maximum of one weekend to conduct the bridge maintenance.

MOUNT GILEAD
The Ohio State Highway Patrol cited Maurice Clarett, 31, former Ohio State and Warren G. Harding running back, on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs Sunday afternoon.
A state trooper issued the summons to Clarett, now an inspirational speaker, after Clarett was pulled over about 1:50 p.m. on Interstate 71 near Chester Township. He is set to appear in court at 9 a.m. Thursday in Morrow County Court.
The citation gives no other details of the stop, other than to say Clarett refused a blood-alcohol breath test.
