FUNDRAISERS
Volunteers of Trumbull County Pound & Community will present a Bowling and Basket Raffle Fundraiser from 2 to 5 p.m. Jan. 15 at Cortland Lanes, 3684 Warren-Meadville Road. All money raised will go toward the volunteers’ veterinary account for dogs in need. Bowling with games and prizes is $15 per adult and $10 for children 12 and younger. Call 330-442-5294 to reserve a spot, for more information or to make a monetary or basket donation. The Spare Time Pub will be open for refreshments. Raffle tickets will be sold for a handmade electric guitar and accessories valued at more than $800, about 100 auction items and a 50/50 raffle.

Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has new and gently used clothes for the entire family. January specials are as follows: Surprise sales will have customers pull a ticket in store and receive a percentage off a purchase, and 70 percent off all Christmas attire. The hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Tuesday.

Negley Masonic Lodge, 50873 Richardson Ave., will have its third annual Sock Hop from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday. There will be music and all-you-can-eat hot dogs, hamburgers, fries, snacks and soda. TRIPS
Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, Youngstown, will host a bus trip Feb. 14 to Cleveland to see the musical “If/Then,” which follows one woman’s two possible life paths. Cost is $75 for JCC members and $85 for nonmembers, which covers the cost of an orchestra seat, transportation and tip for the bus driver. Participants will eat dinner independently.
