Long guns, ammo stolen in Pine Twp.
MERCER, PA.
Several long guns and miscellaneous ammunition were stolen between Tuesday and Saturday from a safe in an unoccupied trailer at 101 Warren Road, Pine Township, in Mercer County, Pa.
The victim of the theft and burglary is the estate of the late Daniel Dick, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the PSP Mercer Station at 724-662-6162.
Kids can Hack-It up at OH WOW! center

OH WOW! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology, 11 W. Federal St., is hosting a Hack-It program from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday and Jan. 23 for children age 8 and older.
Children are invited to explore circuitry using Little Bits. The program is free with museum admission. Participants can stop by the front desk to register.
Give snowshoes a try at Winter Trails Day
SLIPPERY ROCK, PA.
Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, will celebrate Winter Trails Day with a free introduction to snowshoeing from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday. The clinic will include an indoor introduction to snowshoeing followed by an outdoor winter-activity hike on snowshoes. Snowshoes will be provided, although personal equipment is welcome. Registration is required by Wednesday at events.dcnr.pa.gov/event/winter_trails_day_snowshoe_clinic or by calling 724-794-6011.
Winter Trails Day, a national event in its 21st year, offers children and adults new to winter sports an opportunity to learn about them free of charge.
Utility-bill help
WARREN
Utility-bill assistance under the Winter Crisis Program of the Trumbull Community Action Program, 1230 Palmyra Road SW, is available through March 31.
The program helps eligible households avoid utility disconnection, restore disconnected service, establish new service and buy fuel oil, propane, coal and wood.
Walk-ins are available during office hours Mondays. Tuesday through Friday, walk-in customers who arrive between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. can be seen before noon. Appointments for weekday afternoons can be scheduled by calling 866-747-1041.
Those who cannot apply at the TCAP Warren office can apply at satellite sites from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They are:
