BOARDMAN

St. Luke Church was the setting of the 1 p.m. Sept. 26 wedding of Ashley Taylor Kent and Michael Metzinger, who exchanged marriage vows before the Rev. Joseph Fata. A reception followed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Hall in Youngstown.

The bride is the daughter of Sharon Kent of Youngstown and the late Aaron Kent. Thomas and Vinetta Metzinger of Youngstown are parents of the groom.

The bride wore a strapless mermaid-style gown of taffeta that featured a corset back and beaded appliques on the bust and hip.

The matron of honor was Cheri Metzinger, the sister-in-law of the groom; she wore a silver dress. The bridesmaids wore turquoise gowns; they were Alyssa and Madison Warren, cousins of the bride, and Marissa Mediati and Chelsea Glosser.

The groom’s brother, Thomas Metzinger, performed duties of best man. The groom’s brothers, Chris and Matthew Metzinger; the bride’s cousin, Nathanael Warren; and Robert Switka were groomsmen.

The Metzingers are graduates of Youngstown State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education, and he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

She is a fourth-grade teacher at St. Rose Catholic School in Girard. Her husband is a senior accountant at Hill, Barth and King LLC in Canfield.

The couple took a wedding trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and have made their home in Boardman.
