Name: Bessie

Info: This 13 year old cat can often be found in the back of the shelter office resting on a kitty bed. She’s very active, but sweet and laid back. She’s an observer that does her thing while the world of cats goes on around her, and now she’s looking for a wonderful family to call her own.

Name: Michhone

Info: This long-haired Calico was born on Sept. 1 and is waiting for a forever home. She gets along well with other cats and dogs, but she’s often scared of smaller children. Older kids who are gentle and patient, as well as adults who are willing to invest the time to get Michhone to open up, will be best. She is very loving and is a big fan of belly rubs.

Hours: 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; Closed Sunday and Monday.

Info: Both cats have been neutered and are up-to-date on their shots. They tested negative for feline AIDS and leukemia. They have been flea-treated and dewormed and are ready to go home.
