Here’s where to recycle your Christmas tree

When the holidays are over, the Mahoning County Recycling Division urges county residents not to put their live Christmas trees out with the trash, but to remove the decorations and recycle them, now through Jan. 31.
Trees will be collected at these sites to be submerged as fish habitat in area lakes:
Austintown Township Park, 6000 Kirk Road.
Berlin Township Building, 15823 W. Akron-Canfield Road.
Roosevelt Park, Struthers-Liberty Road, Campbell.
Canfield Township Fire Station, 5007 Messerly Road.
Craig Beach, next to the fire station, 1979 Grandview Road.
Ellsworth Township Fire Station, 6036 S. Salem-Warren Road.
Goshen Township Maintenance Garage, 12649 Seacrist Road.
Green Township Cemetery, state Route 165 and Beaver Creek Road.
Jackson Township Building, 10613 Mahoning Ave.
Lowellville Street Department, 3 W. McGaffney St.
New Middletown and Springfield Township Recycling Center, 10720 Struthers Road.
Poland Township Road Department, 7508 Clingan Road.
Smith Township Building, 846 N. Johnson Road.
Community Corrections Association (the former South Branch Library), 1771 Market St., Youngstown.
In Struthers, trees will be picked up at the curb.
Wrapping paper and greeting cards may be placed in bins for curbside recycling or at any recycling drop-off site.
