Lit Youngstown event will feature local youth

YOUNGSTOWN

Lit Youngstown will present “Outsiders, Artists and Adventurers: Youth Dispatches from the Rust Belt,” at 7 p.m. March 7 at Suzie’s Dogs & Drafts, 32 N. Phelps St.

Special guests will include Chris Jennings, an English teacher, student council and journalism program adviser and speech and debate coach at Canfield High School. He will bring students Marie Messuri, Alec Kan, Carson Markley, Annie Vallas, Chayla Regano, Nick Palermo, Rachel Gobep, British Wagner, Maddie Urig, Lennon Sackela and Cooper Johnson to participate in the event. David Giffels, author of “The Hard Way on Purpose,” an essay collection about the landscape of America’s Rust Belt, will also be a guest.
