Rite Cleaners & Drapery Services, 705 Main Ave. S.W., was heavily damaged by fire of undetermined origin Sunday afternoon.

The interior of the one-story cement-block building, located at the corner of Fulton Street, was heavily damaged, Warren firefighters reported. The fire was reported about 4:15 p.m., and firefighters cleared the scene about 7:45 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

Jewish music event

YOUNGSTOWN

The Jewish Community Center, 505 Gypsy Lane, will present a Lunch and Learn program, “Jewish Music in Response to the Kishineff Pogrom: A Look at How Composers Brought the Urgency of European Jews into American Living Rooms,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 18.

Randall Goldberg, assistant professor of music history at Youngstown State University, will show the important role Jewish composers played in spreading news about the plight of Jews in Europe in the aftermath of the 1903 Kishineff Pogrom.

His presentation will include live and recorded examples from Jewish sheet music and 78 rpm records.

Easter at the mall

Southern Park Mall, 7401 Market St., will host a variety of Easter festivities.

An Easter Bunny photo experience will provide the opportunity for children to visit and take a photo with the Easter Bunny from March 4 to 26.

A Breakfast with the Bunny is set for 9 a.m. March 12. The event will include a visit from the Easter Bunny, arts and crafts and a magic show. The first 100 children who arrive will receive a free breakfast from Chick-fil-A. Reservations are required by visiting Chick-fil-A or by calling 330-758-7391.

A sensitive bunny event will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. March 13 offering families who have children with special needs a subdued environment to participate in the bunny photo.

A pet photo night with the Easter Bunny will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 20. Participants are invited to bring their family pet.
