Police are seeking information after two brothers were fatally shot at a public housing complex in the northeast Ohio city of Canton.
Forty-year-old Christopher Trent and 42-year-old Allen Trent were killed in a spray of bullets just before 6 a.m. Saturday. They fell a few feet apart in the parking lot of the Stark Metropolitan Housing Authority apartment complex.
Authorities have released 911 tapes of callers reporting the shootings to police and describing the scene. One woman said she had “a house full of children” and all were asleep until 20 to 30 gunshots were heard.
Christopher Trent had just completed a 9-month prison sentence for domestic violence. He was released Feb. 15. The newspaper reported both brothers had served past prison terms.
