WalletHub's key numbers for 88th Oscars

The 88th annual Academy Awards are tonight, and to mark the event, WalletHub has compiled some key numbers. Here are some highlights:

v 25: Age of Jennifer Lawrence, the youngest person to earn four acting nominations.

v 3,500: Average cost (in dollars) of preparing a Hollywood actress for the red carpet.

v 220,000: The dollar value of the 2016 Oscar Swag Bag.

v 39: Number of years between Sylvester Stallone’s two Oscar nominations for his portrayal of Rocky Balboa.

v 45: Number of seconds that acceptance speeches will be this year, thanks to individual shout-outs scrolling on the bottom of the screen.

The 88th Annual Academy Awards (7 p.m., ABC): Comedian Chris Rock is our host for Hollywood’s annual orgy of self-indulgence. Expect him to throw a few jabs at the academy for its startling lack of diversity. As for the movies that did make the cut, “The Revenant” heads the list with 12 nominations, but, alas, none for the burly bear that turned Leonardo DiCaprio into a chew toy.

“Downton Abbey” (9 p.m., PBS): Sigh. We’re closing in on the “Downton Abbey” finale, but first comes the new special “More Manners of Downton Abbey.” The show’s historical adviser, Alastair Bruce, explores the social protocol of aristocrats and servants in the 1920s.
