Gathering Place event will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 14 at Lord of Life Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield. Jim Loboy of WYTV will be speaker. Lunch will be provided by the Woodlands. This is a free community outreach social program offered to all senior citizens on the second Monday of each month. A variety of games and activities are offered. Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave., is sponsoring an AARP Tax Aide Program for those with moderate to low income and all senior citizens each Tuesday and Thursday through April 14. No appointments are taken; taxes are done first come, first served from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For information on required documentation, call the center at 330-545-6596.

Niles S.C.O.P.E. Senior Center, 14 E. State St., is offering a variety of events and services. Free tax preparation by the AARP Tax Aide Program for those with moderate to low income and for senior citizens with simple returns, each Friday from through April 15, excluding Good Friday on March 25. Taxes will be done by appointment only from 9 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. A free Lunch and Learn session for all seniors is also set for 11:45 a.m. March 4. Representatives from the State Highway Patrol and AAA will present a program on safe driving for seniors. A question and answer period will be offered.
