Dudley finishes 12th at state

COLUMBUS

Hubard High School senior Michalia Dudley placed 12th among individual bowlers in the Division II girls state tournament Saturday at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

Dudley had games of 212, 205 and 174 for a 591 series to help the Eagles to an 11th-place finish in the team standings. Hubbard did not make the championship round, in which Mechanicsburg eventually outlasted Napoleon for the team title. East Liverpool was 16th.

Coldwater placed third, followed by Versailles, Norton, Springfield Northwestern, Fairport Harbor Harding and Zanesville Maysville.

Springfield Kenton Ridge’s Jessica Pitt was the overall individual champion. Pitt rolled games of 247, 257 and 208 for a 712 series. Norton Junior Emily Krosnick (207-257-234—698) was second

Southington junior Susan Decker (215-161-165—541) was 33rd. Hubbard sophomore Alexis Cobbin (195-177-165—527) was 41st and fellow sophomore and teammate Sabrina Romano (201-162-156—519) was 47th.

Junior Elizabeth Wise (168-139-182—489) was East Liverpool’s top finisher in 60th. Cardinal Mooney senior Brittaney Mingo (101-159-138—398) was 85th.

The Division I state tournaments are Friday and Saturday, also at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.
