The Vindicator will run a free listing of area services that are open to the public in observance of Palm Sunday, March 20; Holy Thursday, March 24; Good Friday, March 25; Holy Saturday, March 26; and Easter Sunday, March 27.
The deadline to submit information is 5 p.m. March 16. Publication will be March 19.
Information should include the denomination and name of the church, address, city or suburb, the day, time, type of service, your name and a phone number for verification.

Jews in China
BOARDMAN
Congregation Ohev Tzedek, 5245 Glenwood Ave., will present “Kreplach and Dim Sum” from 5 to 8 p.m. March 13.
Robyn Helzner will be the presenter of the program about Jews in China. She served as cantor for the United Jewish Congregation of Hong Kong and officiated at the first bar mitzvah celebrated in Beijing, China. Her concerts and recording of world Jewish music are acclaimed.
In a multimedia presentation, Helzner will share stories, photos, video and music chronicling the Jewish community in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Kaifeng.
A buffet dinner will be featured with Chinese foods.
The dinner and presentation are $15. Reservations are required by Friday. Call the synagogue at 330-758-2321.
Lenten concert
YOUNGSTOWN
Mahoning Valley Chorale, directed by Kris Harper, will present a Lenten concert, “And No Bird Sang – A Collection of Lenten Reflections,” at 3 p.m. March 6 at St. Angela Merici Parish, 400 Lincoln Park Drive.
The concert will feature Lenten themes and will feature several performers from Youngstown State University, including Sierra McCorvey, soprano; Antonie Jackson, trumpet and flute; and Dominic DeLaurentis, oboe. Also featured will be Heather Trowbridge, soprano and a recent music graduate of Kent State University.
The concert is in line with the chorale’s mission to bring quality choral music into the inner city of Youngstown. This will be the chorale’s first performance at St. Angela, which is the merged churches of Sacred Heart and Immaculate Conception on the East Side.

Good Friday
YOUNGSTOWN
The Spiritual Emphasis Committee of the YMCA of Youngstown will sponsor its annual Good Friday breakfast and service March 25 at the Central YMCA, 17 N. Champion St. The breakfast will be served at 7:15 a.m. with the program starting at 8 a.m. in the gym. The event concludes by 8:45 a.m. Last year, 450 people attended.
Pastor Sean Kelly of Greenford Christian Church will deliver the message.
Music will be provided by Alyssa Morucci, a member of Real Living Ministry and praise team. She is a student at Poland High School.
Reservations for tables and individual tickets are available. A table of eight is $85; individual tickets are $12. Call Patty Tchoryk, administrative assistant in YMCA’s metro office, at 330-742-4781.
