St. Columba Cathedral was the setting of the 2 p.m. Oct. 10, 2015, wedding of Daisy Ocasio and Hank Franceschelli Jr. at which Monsignor Peter M. Polando officiated.

A reception followed at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center.

The couple, both of New Middletown, took a wedding trip to Puerto Rico.

The bride is the daughter of Frank and Miladys Ocasio of Boardman, and the groom is the son of Henry Sr. and Kathy Franceschelli of Struthers.

The bride’s gown with cap sleeves featured sequined embellished lace over a separate slip dress that accented a low illusion back with crystal buttons. Her ensemble was completed by a single tier angel cut veil outlined with Swarovski crystals.

The bride’s sister, Amy Hazimihalis, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Malinda Ferko, the bride’s sister; Katie Ocasio, sister-in-law of the bride; Emily Groubert; Holly Gozur, sister of the groom; Mariah Chirchiglia, cousin of the groom; Felicia Phillips; Jennifer Raymond; Kimberly Stachowicz; Nicole Fiddler; Christen Kladitis; and Amanda Hildebrand. Flower girl was Mariana Tuscano, the bride’s daughter. The attendants wore black lace gowns with a red underlay.

Sam Muto performed duties of best man. Groomsmen included Rick Gozur, brother-in-law of the groom; Frank and Nelson Ocasio, brothers of the bride; James Hazimihalis and Donald Ferko, brothers-in-law of the bride; Cory Groner, Gary Baker and Mike Flaherty, cousins of the groom; Tommy Cole; Ed Thurik; and Shawn Russell. Marshall Yelkin and Michael Tuscano Jr., the bride’s sons, served as mini groomsmen. The bride’s nephews, Yianni and Mihali Hazimihalis and Donny and Dominic Ferko, and the groom’s nephews, Grady and Ricky Gozur, were ring bearers.

The bride graduated cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a business banking specialist for Citizens Bank in Salem.

Mr. Franceschelli earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Thiel College. He is employed as a union laborer for Marucci & Gaffney Excavating Co. in Youngstown.
