Robinwood Lane Elementary was filled with Valentine’s Day spirit on Feb. 11. Classes all around the building had Valentine’s Day parties before the long weekend.

Each class celebrated Valentine’s Day their own way. Some classes had ice cream sundaes, while others had cookies. All of the students brought in Valentine’s boxes they made to hold their valentine treats in.

Jan Zorman’s fourth-grade class had a lot to do during their party. They decorated their own cookies, made ice cream sundaes, ate treats and passed out Valentines to each other.

“This is their valentine party and these are my moms. They come all the time. Today they are scooping ice cream and the kids are going to make their own cookies,” said Zorman.

Zorman said that she is very appreciative of the mothers and all they have helped with throughout the school year. They are also going to help with upcoming picnics.

The Valentine’s Day party is just one of the many things the students in Zorman’s class are celebrating. As the year goes on, the students have several more activities to look forward to.

“We are going to go bowling. They’re going to meet their penpals, they have second-grade penpals over at Stadium Drive and we are going to meet them at bowling. These kids help the little ones and we bowl,” said Zorman.

The students all over Robinwood had big, chocolate-covered smiles on their faces as they celebrated their Valentine’s Day parties.
