Reaction to the news from Vindy's Facebook is listed below.

Jerome Carl Vanditti Jr: McNally gets a slap on the wrist and gets to keep his public job? Justice was not served.

BJ Duckworth: This is all part of something bigger just wait and see.

Brad Harris: Knew this was coming for months now. McNally is actually doing a good job as mayor. He has been very accessible to the community and he truly cares. He most likely pleaded out to just get past this and focus 100% one being the best mayor he can.

Susan Hammond Holub: This is sickening!! Regular people cannot win. Our government is corrupt from the bottom to the top.

John Giltner: Well it's good to see things never change in the YO. The crooks get to stay in office and continue to steal from the taxpayers. And people wonder why things in the Valley never seem to get better.

Joe Oneill: Betras is correct. Hes admitted wrong doing. If he stays in office hes just another Taft.

Yvette Muldowney Wasko: Agreed. Corruption is corruption and someone who has pleaded guilty to corruption in office should no longer hold that office.

Reaction from Vindy.com:

billdog1: Wow, real punishment. They should be removed from any public office. This is a ridiculous outcome to criminal behavior. Keep your mayoral office, pay a penitence for your sin and who cares that your in a public servant position.

Pyroc: They should be banned from Public Office for life, and McNally should resign as Mayor immediately.

sonnype: The penalty they got is a joke and a slap in the face to the people of Youngstown by the so called justice system.
