Former Brookfield student arrested on school grounds intoxicated with weapon
BROOKFIELD — Principal Chris Fahndrich of Brookfield Middle School was alerted by a student Thursday morning that an intoxicated man was walking around the school’s upper parking lot.
Fahndrich escorted the man to his office, where he stayed until police arrived.
“He entered school property while the students were arriving in the morning, but our principals handled the matter efficiently and contained the man while police officials arrived to the scene,” said Superintendent Tim Saxton. “All the proper safety procedures were taken during the situation and charges have been filed.”
The man, a former Brookfield student, was carrying a weapon. He was immediately removed from school property by Brookfield Police and has been charged with criminal trespassing, possession of a weapon on school property and underaged drinking.
