Boardman stadium gets $150K donation toward band shell

BOARDMAN — Boardman’s stadium project has received a $150,000 donation for construction of a band shell.

Bill and Karen Veri, of Boardman, are making the donation.

“We are excited and honored to support the stadium project and provide the home of the Boardman Spartan Marching Band,” they said in a news release.

“We want to thank the Veri family for their generous donation to the Stadium Project as well as their gift to the performing arts at Boardman,” said Booster Club President Bill Bonte.

Construction on the shell is expected to begin in May and wrap up in August.
