Ohio Turnpike bans big trucks because of snow, high winds
BEREA, Ohio (AP) — The Ohio Turnpike is banning big trucks and some trailers on the toll road between Toledo and the Indiana state line because of snow and high winds.
The turnpike says it expects the ban to last through 6 p.m. today.
The ban applies to triple-trailer commercial vehicles and box-type, double-trailer commercial vehicles longer than 90 feet.
Also not being allowed on the western end of the turnpike are mobile-home trailers, boat and horse trailers and high-profile campers.
