Gardening workshop set March 5 in Pa.

MONACA, PA.
Penn State Extension Master Gardeners of Beaver County will host a smart-gardening workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 5 in the learning resource center at Community College of Beaver County, 1 Campus Drive.
Programs will include “The Other Bulbs – Minor Bulbs” by Len Lehman; “Composting for the Seasoned Gardener – Vermiculture (worm composting)” by Travis Leivo; “Conventional vs. Organic Pesticides” by Daniel Frank; and “Stormwater Management – Rain Gardens and Rain Barrels” by Susan Boser.
Master gardeners will be available to answer gardening questions.
Continental breakfast, lunch, handouts, silent auction and door prizes are included in the registration fee of $45 by the Sunday deadline. If space allows, walk-ins will be accepted for $55.
