Testimony ends in attempted murder trial
YOUNGSTOWN — Both sides rested their cases today in the attempted-murder trial of 27-year-old Keith Black in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
Jurors will return at 9 a.m. Thursday to hear closing arguments before Judge Maureen Sweeney.
Black, of Reynoldsburg, is accused of shooting Nicholas Duecaster, 20, early Aug. 14, 2015, on East Lucius Avenue on the city’s South Side. Duecaster survived.
Jurors began hearing testimony Tuesday morning after spending Monday in jury selection.
