College orchestra to present concert

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.

The Westminster College Symphony Orchestra will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Orr Auditorium.

Along with student and community performers, the concert will feature Nancy DeSalvo, associate professor of music, on piano, and Timothy Winfield, assistant professor of music, on trumpet.

The orchestra will perform works by Chabrier, Bizet and Shostakovich.

‘Jersey Boys’ sets return dates

CLEVELAND

The landmark hit musical “Jersey Boys” will return to Cleveland to play the State Theatre at Playhouse Square Sept. 20-25. “Jersey Boys” is the winner of the 2006 Best Musical Tony Award. It tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

Performances will be at 8 p.m. Sept. 20-23; 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sept. 24; and 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sept. 25. Single tickets range from $30 to $90 and go on sale April 29 at playhousesquare.org, or by phone at 216-241-6000.

Christian comedian
