Youngstown police find handgun during arrest

YOUNGSTOWN

Police found a 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun Sunday on a man they were taking into custody on a domestic violence charge who resisted arrest.

Tramine Wright, 19, of Emery Avenue, is in the jail on drug, weapons and domestic violence charges after he was arrested about 4:05 p.m. at a home in the 400 block of Emery Avenue.

Reports said as officers tried to take Wright into custody, he had to be stunned twice with a stun weapon, the second time after officers saw the gun sticking out of his clothes and Wright reached for it.

According to Vindicator files, it is the 28th gun seized by police this year and the eighth this month.
