MASURY

The Trumbull County 911 center has released the audio recording of a Masury man who apparently shot his girlfiend this morning on Ulp Street.

Marvin Jules, 33, told a dispatcher at about 10 am that he had shot his girlfriend, Linda, because of jealousy.

During a 10-minute call, he cries and moans into his cell phone, saying "I shot my lover" and "I love you. I didn't mean to hurt you."

Jules walked to the nearby Orange Village nursing home while still on the phone and got on the floor as instructed and waited for police.

He was taken into custody and taken to the Trumbull County jail.

He was later taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation. The woman was taken to surgery at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, Brookfield police said.

Police were called to the house a year ago for a domestic dispute involving Jules and his girlfriend, who was in her fifties. No one was injured , and police left.
