St. Michael’s to host sock hop event

The social hall at St. Michael’s Byzantine Church, 463 Robinson Road, will be the setting for a 1950s and 1960s sock hop from 5 to 10 p.m. April 15. Appetizers will be served from 5 to 5:45 p.m.

Hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries and root beer floats will be served; and guests are welcome to take their own beverages. Diva Entertainment’s DJ Celeste will host, and Guys Without Ties will perform live. Participants are being sought for a dance-off that will be judged by a special guest.

An early bird cost through February is $20 per person. From March through the day of the event, cost is $25 per person.
