Park Levy

A 0.8-mill, five-year renewal park levy that will generate $290,000 annually.

The park department’s current levy, approved in 1986 for 0.8 mills, generates about 0.46 mills of its former valuation.

Owners of a $100,000 home pay $14.25 annually on the park levy.

The township’s total budget for 2011 was approximately $7.6 million.

The park department’s total budget for 2015 was approximately $490,000; $100,000 of that came from the township’s general fund.

Road Levy

A 1.5-mill, five-year renewal road levy that will generate $370,000 annually.

The road department’s current levy, approved in 1976 for 1.5 mills, generates about 0.55 mills of its former valuation.

Owners of a $100,000 home pay $17 annually on the park levy.

The township’s total budget for 2011 was approximately $7.6 million.

The road department’s total budget for 2015 was approximately $1.7 million; $600,000 of that came from the township’s general fund.
