“The Wonderful World of Disney: DISNEYLAND 60” (8 P.M., ABC): This two-hour special celebrates the 60th anniversary of the so-called “Happiest Place on Earth.” Included: A preview of plans for a new “Star Wars”-themed land.

“Must-See TV: AN ALL-STAR TRIBUTE TO JAMES BURROWS” (9 P.M., NBC): This special celebrates the career of the director known for pumping up the laughs in shows such as “Cheers,” “Friends,” “Frasier,“ “Taxi,” and more. Stars of those shows reunite to honor Burrows.

“Girls” (10 P.m., hbo): Season 5 of “Girls” opens with Marnie (Allison Williams) micromanaging her wedding to Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) at an upstate New York resort while trying to maintain the facade of the breezy bride. Meanwhile, Desi battles wedding-day jitters.

Boardman bands in winter concert

BOARDMAN

The Boardman High School bands’ winter concert will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Boardman Performing Arts Center, 7777 Glenwood Ave., featuring the Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble and the Percussion Ensemble. Admission is $3 ($2 for students, free for seniors). The program will include “Birdland,” “Timepiece,” “Marching Song,” “Bond … James Bond” and more. Percussion Ensemble will open with “Encore in Jazz.” Senior soloist Nico Ruggieri will perform on the vibraphone, accompanied by the Wind Ensemble, on “A Tribute to Lionel.” Nico is president of the Boardman Band, percussion section co-leader and principal chair in Wind Ensemble. He performs locally with the John Reese Project and Music at Madison.
