WARREN

A group of Valley residents and natives is getting ready to shoot an action film titled “Swift Kill” in Warren.

Directed by Dave Durch of Warren, who also has a role, and with Youngstown native Dennis Thomas as cinematographer and editor, the group hopes to shoot in March and April, and have the film ready to submit to film festivals by next winter.

“Swift Kill” is about four ex-military teammates who bring their unit back together to avenge the death of their friend. The team runs into obstacles and has to fight a sinister drug kingpin.

Plans call for filming at several landmarks around Warren.

The film has a budget of $75,000 and the production team is working to raise that amount through an indiegogo account. It will approach potential investors to make up any shortfall.

The main characters will be played by Durch; Michael Bowen, who played Uncle Jack in the acclaimed TV series “Breaking Bad” and who will be seen as Matches Malone in “Gotham”; Cade Caradine, a Los Angeles-based actor; Matthew Metzler, who played Matt in “Breaking Bad” and Barkley in “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials”; and local actor Patty Anne Corson of Hartford.

The script was written by Marc Mosher of Kentucky.

The cast also includes Deanna Sherman of Cleveland; Michael Vitovich of Cleveland; Jenny Long of Niles; and Laura McKenzie of Morgantown, W.Va.

Corson, Durch and Metzler are the producers.

It marks the first feature film project for Corson, Durch and most of the cast and crew.

Corson said people interested in investing can contact her at 330-502-1155 or on the group’s Facebook page at Big Boss Productions LLC.
