Boardman, Fitch wrestlers among district qualifiers

Austintown Fitch and Boardman wrestlers earned Division I district tournament berths on Saturday in the sectional at Kenston High School.
Fitch’s Gus Sutton (106 pounds), Andrew Fairbanks (132), Adam Green (160), Isaiah Jackson (170), Tex Martin (182) and Matt Rood (285) all moved on to districts while Boardman’s Jimmy Sferra (138), Mario Graziani (160), Tyler Dempsey (170) and Nick Patoray (195) also qualified.
In the Division III Rootstown sectional, South Ranage’s Collin Razo (106) and Anthony Renforth (145) qualifed for the next round and Columbiana’s Brandt Virden (106), Frank Rupert (160), Caleb Rupert (195) and Tim Davin (285) will join them.
Jackson-Milton’s Anthony Pizzuto (113), Terry Stockton (120), Nick Scarl (152) and Anthony Italiano (195) qualified. Crestview will send Andrew Hardenbrook (126), Spencer DeDalvo (138), Dakota Stratton (170), Jesse Hughes (182), and Landon Talbert (220). Liberty is sending Morgan Weinreber (145) and Kaleb Merrick-Neff (182).
From the Division III Beachwood sectional, Brookfield’s Gavin Miglets (113), Bryce Randall (182), Zach Hackett (220) and Hunter Baumiller (285) advanced to districts.
Also from Beachwood, Pymatuning Valley had Kegen Hoopes (138), Noah Campbell (152), Ryan Sito (160), Brandon Muha (170), Gaige Willis (182), Marcus Udell (195), Steven Dodge (220) and Caleb Bean (285) all punched their tickets to the district tournament.
In the Division II, Lake Catholic sectional, Jefferson’s Mike Hamski (106), Joshua Baitt (126), Mason Swiney (170), Zach Collins (182) and Austin Norris (220) advanced.
The Division I district tournament will be held at Mentor High School, the Division II tournament will be held at Alliance High School, and the Division III tournament will be held at Garfield Heights High School. All district tournaments will be held on Feb. 27.
