Kokrak comes up just short at Riviera

LOS ANGELES — Jason Kokrak just missed an 18-footer for birdie on No. 18 and Bubba Watson tapped in for par moments later for a one-shot victory in the Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club.

Watson finished at 15-under par. Kokrak, a Warren JFK graduate, finished in a second-place tie with Adam Scott at 14-under.

Kokrak was trying to nail down his first PGA Tour victory. He had a two-stroke lead through 14 holes, but Watson caught and passed him down the stretch.
