Man indicted on firearms charge
CLEVELAND
A federal grand jury has indicted Airiz A. Coleman, 39, of Warren on a charge of being a felon with a firearm and ammunition, the U.S. attorney said.
The indictment alleges that on or about Nov. 17, 2015, Coleman possessed a .22-caliber revolver and ammunition, despite convictions in 2008 for felonious assault and improper discharge of a firearm at or into a habitation in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
Child-porn charge
CAMPBELL
A man was arraigned Friday in Campbell Municipal Court on a child-pornography charge.
Jason Gruber, 36, of Campbell faces a fourth-degree felony charge of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.
Authorities with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office and the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gruber on Thursday afternoon after searching his Woodland Avenue home on a warrant. Officials seized electronic devices after the search.
Judge Patrick Cunning set Gruber’s bond at $100,000. He is in the Mahoning County jail. Gruber is set to appear again in municipal court at 9 a.m. Friday for a preliminary hearing.
Road rage reported
WARREN
A Warren man reported damage to his car from a road-rage incident Thursday in which a man with a woman, another male and a child in his red sport utility vehicle intentionally rammed him on Elm Road.
The victim said he and the other driver were turning onto Elm from Hollywood Street at 8:30 p.m. when the he saw that the other driver was yelling at him about “tailing” him.
The other driver purposely wrecked into the victim and kept going. It caused damage to both vehicles but no injuries, according to a police report.
The victim described the other male as 25 with a beard, a female in the passenger seat and another male and a child in the back seat.
Break-in probed

Township police are investigating a reported break-in at a Market Street restaurant.
Police responded to Asuka Japanese Restaurant, 7381 Market St., Thursday morning on a report that the front door was smashed out. The business owner reported about $200 missing from the restaurant.
Events for students
Trumbull County Educational Service Center will host two events for students and parents to learn about Ohio’s College Credit Plus program, which provides high-school students with the opportunity to take college classes offered by any Ohio public college or university, or from any participating private postsecondary institution.
From 5:30 to 7:30 Monday at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way, parents and students from Liberty and Hubbard may learn about the program.
The session from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 29 at Trumbull Career and Technical Center, 528 Educational Highway NW, Champion, is for students and parents from Bloomfield, Bristol, Howland, Joseph Badger, Lakeview, Lordstown, Maplewood, McDonald, Niles, Southington, TCTC and Weathersfield.
Kent State University Dean Lance Grahn and Youngstown State University President Jim Tressel will speak at both events. Colleges and universities attending will be Hiram College, Eastern Gateway Community College, YSU and Kent.
