Trumbull voters group will meet Monday

CORTLAND

The League of Women Voters of Trumbull County will offer an informational meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the Cortland Library, 578 Lakeview Drive.

The Trumbull County Township Association Injection Well Committee, chaired by Dominic Marchese, along with members from Ashtabula and Portage Counties will discuss drilling and injection wells in northeast Ohio and the protection of our water supply. Informational material will be distributed following a question and answer period.

The league is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The league is also accepting donations for a voter information guide for the November election. Last year, the league distributed more than 10,000 copies of the nonpartisan paper throughout Trumbull County. Call the league at 330-367-4886 for information on donating to the fund.
