Hubbard man charged with assaulting Youngstown cop

YOUNGSTOWN — A Hubbard man is in the Mahoning County jail on charges he assaulted a police officer and swallowed drugs.

Robert Anderson, 38, was arrested about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday after he ran from a traffic stop at East Lucius and South avenues on the South Side.

Reports said it took four officers to get Anderson into custody, and he vomited outside a police cruiser after he swallowed the drugs.
