Struthers couple bound over to Mahoning grand jury on child-endangering charge

STRUTHERS — A case involving the purported abuse of a 5-year-old girl has been bound over to a Mahoning County grand jury for further consideration.

Lisa Marenkovic, 27, and Beau Geidner, 27, both of Struthers, appeared in Struthers Municipal Court today on felony charges of child endangering and obstructing justice.

Earlier this month, Markenkovic, the child's mother, and Geidner, Marenkovic's boyfriend, were booked into the jail after police searched their Fourth Street home on a warrant.

School officials raised concerns about bruises on the girl's body, a police report states, and about the fact the girl hadn't attended school since Jan. 22.

The county's children services agency took emergency custody of the girl.
