Early voting steady at Mahoning County elections board

YOUNGSTOWN -- Early voting is steady this morning at the Mahoning County Board of Elections.

"We've had someone at the counter since 8 this morning," said Joyce Kale Pesta, elections board director.

Today is the first day of early voting.

Al and Margaret Werden of Canfield took advantage of the opportunity because of the convenience.

Both are ardent Donald Trump supporters.

Usually, they vote Democrat, but switched to a Republican ballot today to vote for the multimillionaire.

"It's about jobs," Al Werden said.
