Reservation deadline is Thursday for shooter-awareness seminar in Hermitage


HERMITAGE, PA. — Mercer County Sheriff Gary A. Hartman will teach an active-shooter awareness session at 8:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at Shenango Valley Masonic Lodge 810, 7 S. Neshannock Road.

The session will focus on how to deal with an active shooter situation in a public place, and will explore the history of active shooters, avoiding active shooter incidents, procedures for an active shooter and preventing active shooters.

The free program is open to the public. Seating is limited, register by calling 724-342-7134.

An optional Swiss steak dinner will be offered at 6 p.m. Cost is $10 per person, and reservations are required by Thursday by calling Donald Howard at 724-342-7134.
