Snow emergency declared in Youngstown
YOUNGSTOWN
Charles T. Shasho, Youngstown Department of Public Works deputy director, declared a snow emergency for the city, effective until 6 a.m. on Tuesday. The snow emergency will be in effect until further notice.
During a snow emergency, parking is prohibited on all streets except streets or alleys having a width of 25 feet or less.
Any motor vehicle parked in violation of this ordinance will be subject to removal by towing at the owners expense.
Snow emergencies are declared when snow accumulates four or more inches to alleviate potential serious public health and safety hazards and to ensure the safe movement of emergency vehicles throughout the city.
