READY FOR SNOW? Most will see 4-8 inches

YOUNGSTOWN — Most of the population areas of Mahoning Valley will get 4 to 8 inches of snow with other parts getting as much as 12 inches between this evening and Tuesday afternoon.

That’s according to Eric Wilhelm, chief meteorologist for 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

The snow will start around 7 p.m. and be steady through around noon Tuesday, he said.

Those in and near Boardman, Austintown, Youngstown, Liberty, Girard and Canfield can expect 4 to 8 inches, he said.

Western Mahoning County along with northern and western Trumbull will get the worst of it – up to a foot of snow.

The area got 6.4 inches at the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport in Vienna between last Wednesday to Friday.
