Historical society elects officers, raises funds for Barnhisel

SPECIAL TO THE VINDICATOR | Girard Historical Society recently elected officers for 2016 including, from left, treasurer Patty Finelli Miller, secretary Mary Ann Creatore, vice president Collette Chuey and president Roberta Lawrentz. The officers are displaying a coverlet that features 11 city landmarks that is for sale for $40. Membership fees are also being collected. Proceeds from both will be used to for the preservation of the society’s headquarters, the Barnhisel Home.
