Rebecca Hamel, Anthony LaPresta are engaged

John and Patty LaPresta of Hubbard are announcing the engagement and upcoming wedding of their son, Anthony J. LaPresta, and Rebecca A. Hamel, both of Boylston, Mass.

The bride-elect is a daughter of Colleen Bishop of Attleboro, Mass., and Dan Hamel of Slatersville, R.I.

The couple will wed during a ceremony Sept. 10 and be honored at a reception at Oakland Seashore Resort in Rockport, Maine. The future groom’s parents will extend invitations for a cocktail party to honor the couple on Oct. 9 in the Garden Cafe at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek MetroParks, Youngstown.

The couple both work at Skinner Auction House in Marlborough, Mass.

Miss Hamel earned a degree in art history from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth.

Her future husband attended Youngstown State University and earned an audio engineering certification from the Los Angeles Recording School. He is also a freelance audio engineer.
