Power Breakfast promotes networking

The Youngstown/ Warren Regional Chamber will have a “Power Breakfast” at Denny’s in Austintown, 4927 Mahoning Ave., from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Feb. 25.

Those who attend order off the menu at their own cost.

The event focuses on networking with chamber members. RSVP is required by Feb. 23 to Amy Young at 330-744-2131, ext. 12, or by email at amy@regionalchamber.com.

Social media seminar planned

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a “HR Hot Topics: Social Media in the Workplace” seminar from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Feb. 25 at the Residence Inn Niles, 5555 Youngstown-Warren Road.

Russell Rendall of Ogletree Deakins will discuss developing issues about social media in the workplace, including how to create an effective social media policy, when and how to use social media in the recruiting and hiring process, and what the National Labor Relations Board and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission are saying about social media in the workplace.

Advanced reservations are required by Thursday to Amy Young at 330-744-2131, ext. 12.

The cost is $15 for chamber members and $25 for nonmembers.

Salem chamber plans after-hours networking program

The Chamber Ambassadors of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce will have a “Business After Hours” program hosted by It’s All About Living Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, 451 Valley Road, from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.

It will include networking with chamber members and refreshments. Guest are welcome.

Meteorologist to speak at meeting

The Salem Area Safety Council will have its February safety council meeting at noon Thursday at the Salem Community Center, 1098 N. Ellsworth Ave.

Guest speaker is Paul Wetzl, meteorologist at WKBN-TV 27.

The cost is $14, and books of six tickets are $84. Reservations are required by Tuesday.

The holistic beauty boutique and salon started as an online store in 2001 by entrepreneur Jennifer Reed.

The business then added a boutique and a hair salon that offers organic, ammonia-free professional hair colors and services in skin, makeup and nails.
