Mr., Mrs. Mook celebrate 50th anniversary

The Chop House in Warren was the setting for a Jan. 31 celebration to recognize 50 years of marriage for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mook Jr. of Champion.
The couple’s children are Debra (Micha) Wolf of Bazetta, Cheryl (Micha) Joiner of Cortland, Robert Mook III of San Diego, Diane (Mook) Leganza of Sebastian, Fla., and the late Terri (Mook) Moorehead. Debra, Cheryl and Robert hosted the event. Nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren complete their family circle.
The former Sandra Wiles wed Mr. Mook on Jan. 29, 1966, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Girard.
The Mooks are members of Pleasant Valley Church in Liberty, where she is a volunteer for Share Outreach and he is a volunteer for Harvest for Hunger. They also belong to the YMCA.
Mrs. Mook is a referee for the National Federation of State High School and USA Volleyball Associations.
Her husband, a U.S. Navy veteran, was a scrap analyst for Packard Electric in Warren before retiring in 1996.
