Salem Public Library, 821 E. State St., offers a genealogy search assistance service, Family Tree Stumped, available each Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Ohio Room.
Hands-on help will be provided by library volunteers. This service is open to the public and free.
Patrons may take their own devices or use a public computer.

Bowlers invited to Strike Out Poverty
SHARON, PA.
The Prince of Peace Center will host its annual Bowl-a-Thon fundraiser to “Strike Out Poverty” on March 6 at Thornton Hall Bowling Lanes, 1208 Hall Ave.
Sign-up starts at noon, and bowling begins at 12:30 p.m.
The event benefits the center’s life skills classes and family supportive services programs.
Teams of up to five bowlers are welcome to register. Cash prizes will be provided to the best scoring bowlers, including first prize men and first prize women, $125 each; second prize, $100; and third prize, $50. Registration for each bowler is $30 and includes three games, shoe rental, lunch, an event T-shirt and chances for various prizes. There also will be a basket auction, 50-50 raffle and other prizes.
Sponsors are needed, and gold and silver sponsors are eligible for free bowling teams. Registration for individual or team bowlers is required by Feb. 22. Meal, wine taste to benefit Heart Walk
WARREN
Blessed Sacrament Parish Catholic Community, 3020 Reeves Road NE, will host its 14th annual pasta cook-off and wine taste event from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Feb. 28 in the parish’s Covelli Center gymnasium.
Local restaurant, professional and amateur chefs will compete for a People’s Choice Award. Buena Vista of Warren, DiVeste’s Banquet Center, Leo’s, Salvatore’s, Sol Mexican, Station Square, Sunrise of Warren and Trumbull Country Club are set to compete. Celebrity judges, including Mike Case and Lauren Landy of WFMJ, Rich Morgan and Stan Boney of WKBN, Bob Coupland of the Tribune Chronicle and Warren mayor Doug Franklin, will help choose the best tasting dishes. The American Heart Association’s 2016 Heart Child, Preston Helmick, also will serve as one of the pasta judges. An international wine taste will also be offered.
Cost is $13 for adults and $6 for children 11 and under for salad, samples of pasta, dessert and light beverage. Advance tickets are available at the parish office Monday through Friday; call 330-372-2215 for details.
