WARREN
Randy Law, Trumbull County Republican Party chairman, has withdrawn from the race for 32nd District state senator.
Law, of Clemmens Avenue Northwest, was one of two Republicans on the ballot in the March 15 primary. The other is Robert J. Allen of Chardon.
Law said he dropped out of the race because he has “other business interests” that prevent him from having the time to devote to the race.
Democrats running in the 32nd District are state Rep. Sean O’Brien of Bazetta, D-63rd, and Kristen Rock of Liberty.
Incumbent Sen. Capri Cafaro of Liberty cannot run again because of term limits. The district includes Trumbull and Ashtabula counties and part of Geauga County.

Search continues
BOARDMAN
Authorities continue their search for a man who robbed a township bank Thursday afternoon and got away with $2,300, according to a police report.
Police were sent to Citizens Bank, 955 Boardman-Poland Road, in reference to a robbery in progress.
Law-enforcement officials were unable to locate the man – described in a report as tall, thin and white, wearing a yellow jacket with black sleeves – at the time.
A bank employee reported that the suspect had placed a red duffel bag on the counter and slipped her a note that read, “I have a gun. Sound no alarms. Put the money in the bag, and no one will get hurt. No dye packs or sudden movements. You have 20 seconds now.”
The suspect fled on foot, but a witness reported seeing a man matching the suspect’s description get into the passenger side of a gray Chevrolet Impala and speed away, according to the report.
