Jill Blacksten stopped the 20-point run with a jumper, YSU’s first bucket inside the arc of the game, at the 3:20 mark of the second period, which was 10:09 after Newman’s 3-pointer.

After Jenna Hirsch hit a 3 to get the Penguins within 33-19 with a minute left before halftime, Green Bay scored the final three points of the half and the first 10 of the third period to take a 27-point lead. The final score was the largest margin of the game.

Green Bay held YSU leading scorer Sarah Cash scoreless for the first 24 minutes, and the Penguins made just two buckets inside the 3-point arc all night.

YSU will conclude its swing through Wisconsin on Saturday when it plays at Milwaukee at 3 p.m.
