US Marshals arrest teen in connection with Liberty robbery
LIBERTY — A 17-year-old boy was arraigned today in Trumbull County Juvenile Justice Center in connection with an armed robbery reported Saturday at the Conroy’s Express Shell Station on Logan Way.
U.S. Marshals with the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested the teenager Thursday at a North Beverly Avenue home in Austintown.
He is charged with aggravated robbery.
A Conroy’s employee reported two men, who had their faces covered, walked into the store Saturday before one of them demanded money.
One suspect, who appeared to have a handgun, told the employee not to push a panic button and to hand over the money, according to a police report. The report says the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash before the pair fled southbound toward Logan Way.
Police are searching for another suspect, who is an adult, in connection with the case, Liberty police Chief Richard Tisone said. The second suspect is charged with complicity to aggravated robbery, he said.
