Stambaugh sells naming rights

The Stambaugh Auditorium box office is now the Florence and Ward Beecher Box Office, under a 10-year naming-rights agreement that took effect in January. It marks the first naming opportunity for the box office in the hall’s 89-year history.

Jeannine Donatelli, Stambaugh Auditorium’s director of donor relations, said, “We found two extraordinary foundations that wanted to show their commitment to the community. The Simon and Florence Beecher Foundation and the Ward Beecher Foundation partnered together to make this effort a reality.”

Ticket distribution at the box office has grown from about 4,000 tickets in 2009 to more than 27,000 in 2015.
